Nursing class notes or sample exams?

I am a new Nursing stundet. I would love to see old nursing student class notes for reference as well as study. Do you know of where I can find old nurisng notes or sample exams online so that I can familiarize myself with the way I sould take notes and study for exams. I have been out of school for a while now and I here that studing for nursing is quite different than other classes.

any advise would be helpful...

For help with test taking & questions I would suggest you get a NCLEX book and study from that. It will give you rationales etc... Don't try to study anything you haven't yet covered though as it will probably only confuse you right now. Begin with the fundamentals questions.

I have a Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX review book that is very helpful. Also find out if you will be taking HESI tests. If so, buy the HESI review book (used if you can). Good luck!

There is an individual on Ebay who sells a CD of notes he & his classmates took, list of things to study for certian tests, sample care plans along with grades & remarks by their teacher, and lots of other goodies.

Sorry I can't tell you exactly who it is but you should be able to find it easy enough on Ebay if interested.

Thanks for your replies.... I wish that I had the necessary chapters so that I can begin reading and studing before classes begin. I would like to stay a little ahead so that if I do have questions. I can ask them during the lectures. I have taken your advise and got a copy of the Lippincotts Review for NCLEX-RN Examination 8th edition. I will begin to look over the questions that relate to my lectures.

This book has over 5000 questions, It looks very helpful so far.

New Student.

Reviews and Rationale books have helped my study group tremendously. Do your reading, get a good knowledge base and then use those practice questions! Understanding the rationales for the right answers helps when it comes time for exams!

test success for beginning nursing students is a good book to start with.
