hi, i have been accepted to lichson this fall... i am very excited but nervous at the same time. i just received an email of there required books for the fall and i am wondering if anybody knows of any good sites to buy books? or if anyone has gone there and may be selling their books?

Go to www.cheapbooks.com and type in the ISBN numbers. They will give you a list of websites that sell the book and the current purchase price. I bought the majority of my books at amazon.com and half.com. They were more than 50% cheaper than at the school bookstore.

I always use amazon.com or half.com, I always get excellent text books and they always have the CD's with them (if the book has one) and shipping is always quick! If you don't want to buy books you can rent them at chegg.com, I think you can rent for a semester or a year!

I just ordered all my first semester books from Amazon, and saved about $250 from the school's bookstore prices. :hpygrp:

^ That's pretty awesome! I'm waiting on a nursing student that I know who just graduated to tell me what books she has before I do any searching/ordering online. I bought my A&P book from her...and for only $50! She has a bunch of the nursing books I'll need too, so hopefully I can get most of my books at great prices!

Hi - Congrats getting into LICHSON! I am also starting this fall. Have you heard anything about Freshman day? I received that email but it didn't have an attachement. I called the school and they said they would fix the email and send a new one out in a day but that was over a week ago. Thanks and Congrats

I am starting LICHSON in the fall as well. I bought all the required texts on amazon for about 500. Are you day or evening?

Dear students!

I would like to take this opportunity and welcome you to LICHSON!

You have made a great decision in planning your career. Nursing is a career that will help you build your clinical, professional and empathetic skills. LICHSON will be there to help in the process.

Your student orientation is on 08/17/10 from 5pm-10pm and 08/18/10 from 5pm -11pm. Orientation is mandatory for everyone. Box dinner will be served on 08/17/10 at 5pm.

Your schedule for Fall 2010 semester is:

N101 – Monday and Wednesday 6:00 pm – 8:30pm

N100A - Wednesday 8:45pm- 10:45pm

N101 Lab. Thursday- 6:00pm-9:30pm

N101 clinical groups: There are 3 clinical groups. Group1 and 2 will meet at the hospital on Tuesdays from 6:00pm-11:00pm. Group 3 will meet on Fridays at the hospital from 6:00 pm – 11:00pm. You will find your clinical group placement at orientation.

I look forward to seeing you all at orientation.
