Nurse Residency 2022

ALL prospective newly graduate RNs, need to Google & read NYT article, "Nursing in Crisis," Aug. 2021.

RN residents should demand higher entry pay than the entry offer of "$20" plus.  All RN residents need to demands alternating work shifts other than 2-consecutive years of night shift.  If you allow medical corporate, they will burn you out...

I'm graduating with my BSN in December, and this is exactly what is really worrying me. Is it even possible to find a position as a new grad without going through a residency at one of the major hospital systems? Here's the scary thing: I know I don't have enough experience to properly care for the older adults in LTC or home health, but unfortunately I'm afraid those are the only companies who would hire a new nurse. Any suggestions?
