hi i am ian, an RN from the Philippines. i would like to know about the registration process on how to be a nurse in Melbourne. I am familiar with the process in New South Wales but i am very much interested in Melbourne because I do have a cousin there. I wanna know about bridging program, the cost & duration and what about my visa in going there?

Moved to the Nurse Registration forum in the world section
You have to meet APHRA requirements which now covers all of Australia

Hello Ian, Have you done any research lately? Number 1, need IELTS 7 one sitting, number 2 read the forum - New Grad Filipino Nurses...in Australia and New Zealand.
If you wanna???? (does this mean.....want to?) know anything else, post your questions there, those guys usually know everything, or find out.
PS Melbourne is getting crowded with nurses.
hi silverdragon - thank you! im confused because i have read that in order to get your credentials assessed you have to contact nbv.gov.au but when go to the website, you will be redirected to APHRA.
hi ceridwyn- i wanna know the steps if i want to do bridging course but in melbourne area. i know the steps in nsw. Do you know any agencies that can asisst me in the whole process? by the way, i do have 3 yrs experience in a tertiary hospital and i will be taking IELTS before september this year. thanks a lot
Again I say, have you done your research? there is no such thing anymore as NBV or the NSWNB go to the forum I suggested and or visit/national health practitioner board at Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Home as suggested before, if you want to/need ""wanna"" (no such english word) have more information.
I do not think you need any agency if you do your own research.
