NR449- Evidence Based Practice

Locate a total of five (5) research databases or collections related to your topic. Each research database description is worth 30 points. You may search for these in various locations, e.g., the Internet, an intranet at work, print publications, etc. You may NOT choose the databases that are already familiar to you - MEDLINE, PUBMED (which also indexes MEDLINE), GOOGLE SCHOLAR, and CINAHL.

This is a portion of my assignment, and I am wondering if anyone has come across any good databases other than the ones listed to find some good evidence based practice research? I don't want to just choose any old thing, because it will benefit me later when I go to do my capstone if I find some places that have solid info for my topic.

What I normally do is look into my local colleges library page and see what they have under nursing. Sometimes even the local library. For example my school I can go to their site and click on research support, search databases by subject and it will give me multiple ones. Hope that helps :) I'm on my phone so I can't look them up individually for you but that will steer you in the right direction.

Up to date (www.uptodate.com/home) and Cochrane (www.cochrane.org) are great resources.

I will check those out. Heading on a long flight tomorrow with wifi and hoping to get a lot of research complete. :)
