In the family setting, a NP sees a skin condition that will require a biopsy.
Will they perform such a surgical procedure?
In general, do NPs get training in suturing, biopsy, and other routine minor surgical procedures?

When I went to the dermatologist an RN cut the lump off my buttock, put a few stitches in and sent the tissue for a biopsy. The doctor was not present.
When I think of NPs in surgery I think of First Assists.
