NP 2015 requirements

I am looking to enter UAHs NP program fall 2014. I was told that as long as I have been accepted and am taking classes, I would be grandfathered in and would not be required to complete the doctorate. Is this just UAH? Or a nationally recognized decision?

    The DNP by 2015 isn't even a rule yet, it's just an idea.

    *** Nobody is required to have a doctorate to be an NP. There is not one single state that requires a doctorate to be licensed as an NP. There will be master level NP program for into the future, hopefully forever and this DNP fad will blow over like so many other silly fads in nursing.
