The job in the doctor's office didn't work out - miserable pay and I really didn't fit in with the other nurses. So I quit. I don't want to go back to my old LTC job. I did one assignment with TLC over the weekend, and it went very, very well. But I haven't heard anything from them and I'm getting antsy.
I could go to a local nursing home per diem - it's owned by the same company as my first job. Not a great place to work, though. I've also applied for a job in corrections.
Should I wait for TLC to give me another assignment, or take the local per diem job? I don't want to make any kind of committment to them if TLC is going to come up with another assignment.

They're both per diem, as needed, right?
Why can't you do both?

Give your availability to both. Then take the assignment of the employer that calls you first. Lots of people do this with as many as four employers in order to have work.
