What is the best brand to purchase on a blood pressure cup and O2 stat reader?

I wouldn't purchase an O2 saturation reader or monitor as a student or as a nurse. Most facilities where you'll perform clinical practicum rotations require staff and students to use the O2 saturation readers that belong to facility since they've been calibrated per policy.

As far as blood pressure cuffs are concerned, you cannot go wrong with a Sprague Rappaport blood pressure cuff.

Ok thank you, I currently work at a nursing home/rehab as a can and they have serious issues when it comes to blood pressure cuffs and O2 stat monitors. Since they don't supply them nurses often borrow each other's then they become missing, and then they get frustrated and have to take blood pressures manually. I neverrrrrrr want to have to go through that madness I just want to purchase my own. I will definitely look into the sprague cuff. Is it very pricey?

No. Sprague Rappaport cuffs and stethoscopes usually cost less than $30.

If you are looking for an automatic cuff, Omron makes good ones that are reasonably priced. However, most decent facilities will want staff to use cuffs that belong to the facility due to the calibration issues I previously mentioned.

Ok thank you so much.

Will I need any of this in school?

You will not need a cuff or O2 saturation reader for school. You may or may not need the stethoscope. When I enrolled in an LPN program, all students were issued stethoscopes, but the quality was not that good (I and several classmates couldn't hear anything out of them). Your school may or may not issue you the equipment you need.
