Note taking

In some of my classes, we go through the material so fast, that I would not be able to type or write fast enough to keep up. We are expected to KNOW the textbook. Basically I read, read and read the chapters in the textbook until they finally sink in. Our exams are mostly short answer so you have to know the material well enough to write an intelligent response. I have never read so much in my life!

This is course dependent. We do have a couple of courses in which we can take notes, but I find we draw a lot of diagrams that would not be possible on a laptop.

I know people who have used their laptops to take notes in CRNA school, but in my program, I don't think it would be possible. I guess it depends on how your classes are set up.

I recorded all of my lectures so I could sit in class and pay attention to what my professor was saying without worrying that I missed something. At night I would transcribe the notes word for word. My notes were EXTREMELY complete, but took quite a bit of time to type. However, my professor tested from her notes the majority of the time so I knew I was studying exactly what I needed to know.
