Not a skip experience question, but Master's or no?

So I have started taking classes to finish my bachelor's degree, but I'm contemplating doing an RN to MSN program instead (for CNL). I have 4 years of experience, so I'm not a brand new nurse, and I need to get ICU experience. But I'm not sure if going the MSN route, where I may not be rewarded a bachelor's degree would be a good idea? Or is a bachelor's degree the lowest requirement? The school I'm looking most closely into only says bachelor's degree requirement. And I am going to contact them, but anyone have experience having a masters with no BSN and going on the CRNA?

Check your schools which you are planning to apply. Some schools are particular about BSN.

Did you get an answer from that school? I am also interested to know how particular they are about that bsn requirement because I am in a similar route as you.

I emailed University of North Florida on this matter because I was considering RN to MSN with my non-nursing Bachelor's. They didn't say specifically that they would decline someone that does the MSN but she did say "it will not give you much advantage" (in regards to their program) and would "not decrease the course load." She recommended simply getting the BSN.

Interesting. I wonder what makes having a BSN more of an advantage?
