I thought about going into a LPN to RN program in new jersey but its soo costly, If I can just get it together and motivated to doing EC I would Be ok... Any suggestions?

You can start by choosing just one exam. Pay for it and schedule your date to test. Do NOT change your date for the simple reason that in a traditional program, you cannot change an exam date; you show up for the test. (If you can do it for the "costly" programs, do it for yourself). Then, MAKE YOURSELF READY! Hit the books! Hit the studygroup101 notes! Hit whatever you are using to prepare for these exams because, guess what? You have an exam coming up!
Repeat that cycle, one exam at a time, until it's done if you really want to be an RN! That is the goal, right? So, LET'S GO!!!
Thanks for the advice...I have to put in Effort!

I graduated from lpn school in May 2013, boards in June 2013 and started excelsior July 2013. I wasn't motivated in the beginning but being a new grad and not being able to find a job was all the motivation I needed. I currently work as a surg tech and am tired of it so I got my butt in gear and studied my butt off for those exams and now I am doing the FCCA. Get err done!!! You can do it!!!
Wow your almost done. Tell me the FCCA is that difficult? Are ypu able to get study guides to help u study?
We are not allowed to discuss the FCCA in any detail, it is considered a collaborative effort which violates Excelsior's academic honesty policy. Sorry but I can not give you any information about it
Oh yeah? Wow

You might want to peruse the "frequently asked questions" section at the bottom of the forum -- lots of good information in those posts. Good luck!
