NNAS application

Published

hi everyone, im also a RN in the philippines. im planning to study here in vancouver for LPN. my frineds told me to try registering for NNAS assessment. and i might get approved to take the licensure exam instead of taking PN Access. although im scared that after the long process, clpnbc would advice me to take the whole course because i havent practice nursing for 8 years. im currently working as RCA in nursing home. is that counted as work experience? anyone who have same case like i do who has NNAS application and had any result? thanks

Only licensed nursing experience counts as nursing experience.

i have a nursing experience but it was only a year and that was 2007. NNAS is only asking from the past 5years.. should i take the course instead then and not waste my time for NNAS?

The college will also require nursing experience in the last 5 years and will require you to complete a refresher course if outside of that time frame. Up to you whether you want to risk it or just go ahead and do the course
