I have been busy for a bit more than a year to get my CGFNS report one and now it is complete I am facing another obstacle with the NM BON. In may 2011 I have submitted my application forms, fingerprints and criminal police check, paid all fees to hear that my file has been destroyed. I will have to start all over again and pay the fees I already have paid.I am so up set with the whole thing, I just want to get over and done with the whole procedure to get my RN license. Which nursing board work faster with a low application fee? My CES is now done, I cannot afford it to waste another year with paying money for nothing in return. Please help with any valuable information.ThanksClau

Sorry to hear about your situation.
But forget about which State is the cheapest (or the fastest), you need to just figure and know which State you want to work in the minute you pass the NCLEX-RN and forget about trying to endorse from one state to the another as you'll be paying fees twice and may have to do more testings and waste another near year maybe.
Thank you steppybay,
You are right. I was up set and frustrated but I need to relax and just take things as they come because everything happens for a reason. I started to gather the required forms to send my application straight away as I receive the new finger print cards.
My IELTS (the English) test result is valid till late February, do you think the NM BON will require me to write a new English test? I like to be prepared that's all. At least the BON has my CES report already.
Thanking you for your quick reply.
God bless
Hello all,What happened with the American spirit" Time is money ". Lately no one seems to care about time. For three weeks I have been trying to get an answer from NM BON whether a new set of finger print cards have been sent to me already. I made several calls, left messages but still no response. I am so over it. Shall I submit my application forms and pay the fees while I am waiting for the fingerprint cards to arrive or should I wait till I finally receive the cards and submit everything in once. After more than a year of waiting I so want to finish this to get my ATT to book a test date for the NCLEX. Thanks for your assistance.Clau12
Yikes, you might be okay, effective Oct. 13, 2012, NM has just imposed a disclaimer on any applicants if they don't plan to stay in NM as an RN and might "think" about using NM as a stepping stone to get into other States. Be very careful now or the application will not be approved and denied.

They are clamping down on the applications and it could spell that other States (that are seen as "easiest, fastest and cheapest) will follow behind NM's brand new ruling, if the States feels they are being "used" as a temporary State to get licensed with no intentions of staying in NM for several years. I think this will make endorsing-transferring from NM to other States more difficult.
