any NJ school nurses

I am a school nurse in NY and am looking to move to NJ. How is the pay? How is the care in general ed? Are there a lot of complicated kids in general ed? How is the paperwork?

i'm in NJ - generally speaking the pay is ok - in my area the start is anywhere from high 20's to mid 30's or more depending on what step you start at and what type of degree you have. The kids can really range - there have been some pretty medically complex kids mainstreamed into general ed - but i doubt this is any different from any other state. As far as paperwork goes - we maybe get a bit of a break, as we don't do any billing in the office, which i gather some states do some type of medicaid billing or other insurance billing. For us it's just keeping up with the day to day stuff, vaccine records, physicals and a handful of state reports.

Wow, thanks for the info. Im in NY and we dont do billing. We rarely do vacvinations and the pay starts at 34/hr
