NIH as an employer?

Does anyone here have work experience or know of anyone who has had work experience with the NIH (National Institute of Health)?

How was the NIH as an employer?

What was the disposition of nurses there?

Is this an organization that treats nurses well?

What are the benefits like?

This may be a day late and a dollar short, BUT

I had my UMB psych clinical @NIH. I was in a word clean. Professional and clean. 8 hour days, great benefits and compensation was at market. That commute though...pew! I would have really considered a career there only after getting more experience in a non-research setting...as it can potentially be somewhat limiting. There are tradeoffs however. Hope this helps everybody.
