I'm about to switch to night shift and start school in the same week. WOO! Any advice on how to switch to daytime life for my class once a week. Most weeks work will be sun-tues nights and then Thursday class.

If you work Tuesday night try to only sleep a few hours Wednesday morning.....that way you will be able to sleep Wednesday night and be functioning Thursday for class.

I agree with the above. I've been working night for 7 years and that was the best way to get back on a "normal schedule."

Pray that your schedule is consistent, if you have a day off in the middle of your 3 12hr shifts, that's when your sleep gets really screwed up. I agree with the above posters, however.

I work night shift every weekend and have had clinical tues morning. I come home on monday mornings sleep for a couple hours get up and usually fall asleep again around midnight and get up at 7am for clinical and continue my week and on a daytime schedule until the weekend again. However sometimes I'm in a coma on Mondays lol and wake up later in the evening and my night and morning are screwed up and i don't as much sleep as i would like before clinical....But i get through it and you will too.....Good luck!
