Newbie

Hi everyone, new guy here interested in becoming a nurse. Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I've read up on alot of the info for male nurses and it's definately inspiring to me. I had a silly question though- Do any of you guys wear those sleeveless scrub shirts like that plastic surgeon on DR. 90210- or is that strictly a "tv thing"? Like I said it's a silly question, but I was just curious. :) Thanks!

Welcome. Good luck to you!

Nope. Since he's a real MD, I think perhaps some might. I think he does it primarily to show off his muscled arms.

I hate that sleeves in scrubs are so short that t-shirt sleeves are longer. It looks tacky to those of us who want to wear a t-shirt.

BTW, not a silly question at all. I've been in the healthcare field for +11 years and I've never seen anyone [male] wear a sleeveless scrub shirt.

Welcome! NO sleeveless shirt for me! the last thing I want is for my underarm hair to stick out. GROSS. (I also don't have huge muscles either)
