New York Methodist

I interviewed for an RN position here and my interviews went very very well. I was told I would be contacted November 20th or November 21st, but I have heard nothing from them by phone or email. I'm upset I didn't get this job :(

My interviews went so well that they said if this position got filled I would be forwarded to other floors that were hiring. But I haven't been contacted AT ALL.

Aw what the heck.. they could have at least contacted you with a simple email or something! I've been applying to NYM too, but they haven't even contacted me. I would imagine it's the Thanksgiving holiday, so maybe things are going really slow. Don't give up hope and Keep on trucking! Are you a new grad?

You should definitely call back to follow up. If they say you would be contacted by Nov 20th they would have contacted you either to say yes we want you or no unfortunately you did not get the position. Either way it will give you some closure.

Thanks guys--I contacted and they said out of the candidates it came down between me and one other. The other got the position :'( Yes I am a new grad. HR said my resume was passed onto another recruiter and I should hear from her soon. Hope I do. Shame, I really liked the floor I was applying for.

Well you came very very close and that is what counts-- the odds of you getting a position in that hospital is very good.
