Know your APA format.....some schools aren't as strict on it, but it's a good practice to get into since the nursing journals are all in APA format....as far as assignments and papers, that all depends on your school

I agree with knowing APA format if you haven't had that in the past. I don't think you can really prepare for nursing school in the upcoming days. Just rest up and get into a positive state of mind, and prepared to be very organized. There is so much thrown at you that you just take it as it comes. I don't look beyond the week ahead of me - it would be too overwelming. But if I tell myself I just have to do everything on my plate for the week, it is more manageable. (I'm only in block one so I'm no expert.)
everything they throw at you is definitely overwhelming....just take a deep breath and tackle everything one day at a time, it'll all get done.....trust me on this....be sure you find some time during the day to spend on you, whether it be 15 minutes to just relax n clear your mind....it'll definitely help w/ the stress

If your school has a library, be familiar with it. A lot of schools even have virtual libraries so you can do all of your research at home. Be sure you are familiar with this tool if they have it. It will help a lot when doing papers. I use Noodletools to check my citations when I am doing my papers.

Just relax while you still can.....but to answer your question, I bought mysef the NCLEX book and studied from that in addition to the books they made us buy...luckily...the professors in that school were using the same NCLEX book and utilized the questions in there for their own exams :) Also I remember I had a PDA with Epocrates on it...I used it for the clinicas instead of dragging all the heavy books with me. That was very helpful :)
Hope that helps!
Best of luck
