New position...HELP

Hello all. I live in North NJ. I have accepted an offer with a company that receives govt funding to serve underserved populations. I was told that due to this, they cannot negotiate the salary. I was offered 98k. Mon to friday with maybe 1 wkend per month. No on-call. Has anyone else had any similar experiences. I am a new grad and this would be my first NP position. The contract is for 3yrs with yearly salary negotiation based on productivity. I ultimately am interested in opening up my practice/business. The center also qualifies for loan reimbursement which I don't like to really factor into the salary. Should I negotiate further?

Seems a lot of people want to use loan reimbursement as a factor in the overall compensation package, but do note that not everyone that applies receives reimbursement and that reimbursement comes from the government and not the employer. Don't let them piggyback off of a third-party program.

So they can negotiate. They just choose not to negotiate with you right now because you're a new grad.

Thanks. I wish I saw this reply earlier. I ultimately chose to accept the offer. I didn't have another job offer lined up. I tried doong research on FQHCs and salary but didn't see too much. I hope it turns out to be a great fit.
