Moved to the Canadian forumYou will need to apply to the province and be assessed before they will let you sit their exam. There are a couple of threads on sitting the LPN so may be worth looking for them
thanks so much! actually, i just emailed them and made some inquiries. they were asking for some personal info so they can send me the assessment package... do you have any idea if the will accept my RN educ prog (outside canada) as equivalent to their RPN educ prog?

need some advice please...
hi! just landed here in canada few months ago and i'm planning to start my profession here as a nurse, probably RPN for a start... i graduated in 1994 (BSN) but i never had the chance to practice it in my hometown... i'd like to take the exam for RPN but don't know where or how do i start... can anyone suggest of a good book that i can read for refreshment/preparation?
thanks so much! :)
in addition... i just read this reply... can anyone comment on this... thanks much!
The registering body (College of Nurses of Ontario) for RPNs in Ontario may not be amenable to accepting your RN education program as equivalent to their RPN educational program. Have you contacted them and asked if this is a possible path?
