New grads and ACLS

Just curious how many fellow NY new grad RN's have taken ACLS before being hired?

I passed the boards a few weeks ago and have been applying endlessly to any and all positions I am eligible for within an hour + drive from me. I graduated with an associates, but have already started in a bachelors program. I'm considering signing up for ACLS and an IV certification course, but not sure if I should spend the money or not. Just wondering if most or some new grads have taken these courses already. I'm on Long Island and desperate for an interview. Thanks.

While waiting to be hired, I would definitely take your ACLS (make sure it's with AHA) and other certifications to make yourself more marketable. It's gonna even be more tough since you only have your Associates. But good your enrolled in in a BSN program. Good luck!

Thanks, I signed up for ACLS in a couple weeks. Hoping it helps with my job search and future career

acls/bls is a good investment!
