new grad?

are there any hospitals in CT accepting new grads still??

Featured Replies

hartford hospital recently started accepting new grads into the ICU a couple months ago.. it's a large hospital, so they will probably still be accepting new grads

I'm sure they'll be accepting new grads after the summer too because some schools finish after this summer.

thanks! i applied to hartford, and im suppose to hear from them within the week... also, has anyone been to ct children's medical center? I'm wondering what type of patients are on the "8th floor"??

CCMC is nice... if you like kids:) I believe that the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors are all med-surg.

Anyone else know more?

I am starting at CCMC monday I will get back to you on that. I used to work at St. Francis and they take new grads into a nursing residency program, I started off there in the MSICU because Hartford refused to take new grads into their units at that time. However, things change and I believe they are now accepting new grads. Best of luck to all of you job searching. I have been a nurse a year, so if i can be of any assistance with the job searching process let me know :-)

Found this on CCMC's site The eighth floor provides rooms for "non-infectious" children, and houses our unique Chronic Infant Lung Disease Program (ChILD Program), as well as our hematology/oncology service and other immunocompromised patients
