Hi NurseAnn08,

I was just got a phone call from Kaweah Delta for intrenship in ICU, could you please tell me, how did you like the new grad program? and how is the weather in Visalia, Do you recommanded or not what you recommand for somebody who is new to this facility?

Thank you for your respond in advance....

Oh man! I applied to that new grad program and was really excited, apparently I didn't get it. No one has called me...When did they start calling people?

i believe they're just calling today, and tomorrow if one gets an in person interview? unless i misheard.

Hello there-

I was just offered position in Kaweah delta's critical care internship program and I was wondering if you guys have any inside information or impressions about the program and the hospital. Also, any suggestions about living and renting in Visalia? Thank you. Happy New Year!

Congrats on being offered a spot in the ICU internship program! I have heard it's a good program. Tough to get into. Are you a new grad or just new to the district? Welcome!

I was offered one of those positions a month ago but ended up turning it down for another job, but I was impressed with the training offered. It seems they are very supportive of new grads and have many staff members available during the dayshift to assist you. Ex. 2 pharmacists in the unit all day, at least one ICU Clinical nurse specialist, and a clinical nurse educator. I was very impressed and they all seemed very friendly and non-judgmental towards new grads in ICU. (I was introduced to them during the interview)

Great job, besides the area which is not at all desirable. Unless you have some family or friends it seems a little rough. But I'm sure you will enjoy the position.

Congrats.
