Hi everyone,
I have been a part of all nurses for a few years now. I have been trying to get into a nursing program for almost 2 years. I had completed all my prerequisite courses and everything. I had been denied twice to the same school and the other had said they had no space for the upcoming semester. My hopes obviously were shattered because all I wanted to do with my career was to become a nurse. I didn't know where to turn and what my next move was. I then decided to apply to the nursing program at the school where I was taking my prereqs, and everything was very last minute, since I hadn't planned on doing this before. I had to retake my TEAS, since every school requires you to take it at their campus. I got everything ready as the deadline approached. Literally last minute I took my TEAS and handed in my application the same day. After a little over 1 month and a half I finally received my acceptance letter today! I cannot describe the joy the joy that I am feeling right now! It does sound so cheesy and cliche but I know I was born to do this, it truly is a passion, and I know there are many negatives and difficult times in nursing, but it is what I chose to do.
So for those who are giving up on yourself and think there is no way out, believe me, there is!! You can also do this! If you feel like nursing is also your passion, don't give up on yourself, there will be a school that accepts you! If you have to retake a class or so to get a higher grade , then do it, it will totally be worth it! I promise! I am extremely excited to begin my journey this upcoming fall!
Thank you for those who took the time to read until the end!!
