Net Test Question

Published

Hello, i am currently studying for the net test and am using the kaplan net book i was just wondering from those who have taken the test is this a good study guide if not what suggestion do you have in terms of review the material thanks. :)

Brownberry,

I just took the NET a few days ago and I also purchased the Kaplan book, that was before I received the study guide that my schooled carried. It is made by the same people whom made the NET test ERI. Here is a link to the study guide:

I found this study guide smaller then the Kaplan, but it was geared more toward the actual NET test, where the Kaplan books seems to cover a lot of information that you really do not need. The extra reading comprehension test was a big bonus in having the Kaplan book. I hope this helps. If you need anything else let me know.

Thank you very much for your response it is very helpful

Anytime, if there is anything you are having trouble with while you are studing for the test let me know and I will see if I can help. I can explain most of the math to you and read cantos "ALL ABOUT THE NET" post which gives a great outline on how to study for the net.

I agree. Get the study guide from eriworld.com or amazon.com, because it is "right-on" for the NET. Also, have you found the practice NET test available on eriworld.com? I found that extremely helpful to do, because it is timed, just like the real NET. I think it cost $15.00. If you can't find the link to it, let me know and I'll get it for you.

Remember, with the NET, time is your biggest enemy. You must keep an eye on the time, and move on if you are spending too much time on any one question. The reading section is especially tough regarding time. Don't overthink the questions. :) But get lots of practice doing those types of readings and questions, because they are not as easy as they seem at first.

Good luck!

Do yourself a favor and pay the $15.00 on the ERI website to take THEIR practice test...I wasted $$$ on those study books. I actually failed the stupid thing the first time...took the ERI actual practice test and made a 94 on the Math and 90 in the reading. GOOD LUCK!

Wow great scores JAK2010, I plan on taking the NET again very soon. I have to pay $100 to register for it, but before I do that I want to study for it. What nursing school do you plan on applying too?

That is a great score.

I just took mine and got a 93 math and 76 reading. I am going to take it again after the first of the year.

$100?! Goodness! We only had to pay $35...GOOD LUCK when you take it again! I actually just finished up my first semester of nursing school...took the NET in May. I'm at Aiken Technical College. I live in Augusta, GA where the Medical College of GA is but the funny thing is that it's actually HARDER to get into the program that I'm in than it is at the medical school! Augusta State University and MCG don't even require that you take the NET. Good luck wherever you are applying!!

WOW $100 is steep. We only pay $25 ecah test. Maybe you should call around and find a college that offers it at a cheaper price. I looked on ERI's website and they charge $100 for the schools that give the test for them, maybe your taking at an official ERI NET testing centrer. Either way good luck.
