I reviewed the other threads about the NET but couldn't find an answer to my question so I'll post it here. Are there a lot of math word problems on the test? I got the study guide from ERI and it doesn't list any. Other study guides list many word problems. Which is more accurate? Also, any tips on the science section. Was is easy or hard? Thanks.

There are no math word problems on the test. The ERI study guide is pretty accurate when it comes to the types of math problems you will see on the test. However, the science reading portion of the test is the most challenging because the passages are very long and you only have 30 minutes to answer 33 questions:banghead:
Thanks for your reply. Is the science section only a reading portion or are their multiple choice ones as well?

I'll be taking a pen and paper pen. I wonder how different it is from the computer version?

The science reading passages were actually not that hard, you are presented with one paragraph at a time and asked questions on that paragraph. However, the questions are confusing because you are presented with a few answers that all might be correct but only one is "the main idea of the passage" or "suggested by the passage" rather than stated outright. So it was a matter of selecting between two or more plausible choices rather than the one obvious one.
I was not expecting the science general knowledge section and didn't prepare for it, but if you can remember your A&P it should be fine.
