NELRP 2009

Hello! I'm wondering who else is applying for the 2009 NELRP? Or are there any past winners out there who will share their experience, debt:income ratio, what you own, etc? I'm applying this year and looking for all the info I can gather. Thanks!! :redpinkhe

Hey, I applied to the NELRP for 2009 year, and must say with the looks of the 2008 applications, the debt-to-income ratio was between 140-250% for those commenting on this forum that also got accepted. I read that there is a calculation on the HRSA website for the debt to income ratio but I cannot find it. Anyone know where it is? Also, I am in debt 6 figures. However only half of that qualifies because the other half is private loans/perkins. I suppose the good thing is that OBAMA is giving the NELRP a lot more money so hopefully our chances are better. If anyone knows where that debt to income calculator specifically for HRSA let me know!! :nurse:

i think its just qualifying debt divided by salary...

I too applied for the 2009 application cycle. This is my third time applying. Each year I apply, I receive a letter saying I was accepted into the program, but was unable to be awarded before funds were exhausted. I believe this year I will be funded! Just playing the waiting game now.:wink2:
