I was hoping that you could tell me what you thought about the Computer Competency Exam required to get into the Nursing program at NVCC. It is the last thing I need to do before handing in my check list but I am so scared that I will fail it. Any input will be helpful.
I did not know we could take it only once and since founding out, I keep on avoiding taking it because I don't want to have my dream of getting in the program crushed.
Please HELP!

I feel your pain. Since I took the test they have changed it from on a computer to on paper, or so I have heard. If you ask me that sounds much easier than what I did. I hated it and I don't even understand my score. I passed with a 76%. The whole things was really confusing but like I said it was on the computer and this funny window would pop up and either ask a multiple choice question or it would ask me to perform a task. The problem with it asking me to perform a task was that you could only click on the screen 2 times before you got it wrong. It was just bizarre. I don't even know how to explain it. I hate computers. Anyways, my point is that I think the paper test would be easier than the computer version. So I am sure you will be fine.
Good luck. Try not to worry about it.
I am going to the MEC on Monday morning to drop off my checklist. I am so excited!!! I am just waiting on my final grade for Chemistry...

Completed the computer prof exam a few yrs back, so it has prob changed, but it was fairly basic, and some where on the NVCC web page it states what they test on. KNOW WHAT the info on that page. Just search for "computer proficiency exam" on the NVCC.edu web page
