I am an international student. I will get my ADN in this June. I have my bachelor degree in other field. I am not qualified to apply for OPT anymore. My final goal is to be a family nurse practitioner. But I really need money and experience. Since I can work on campus,so I plan to go to a school with a hospital so I can study and work as RN at the same time. Is that doable? Any school you can recommend? Does it matter which school you graduate as a FNP especially for employment?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Not sure how you are going to manage this as you need to maintain full time student and can only work a certain amount of hours a week. I think it will be a case of ringing around and asking however I have seen that NP's are also struggling to find work so you may have an issue finding employer willing to sponsor you once you have finished training
