while it is my goal to get into one of the bsn programs in my area.. i am also going to apply at a couple adn programs as a back up and to increase my chances of getting in somewhere. at the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, i'm going ask you all to help me decipher between two programs that one of the community colleges is offering.
it appears that one weaves the general ed/prereqs throughout the program and the other doesn't.. but i'm not sure if there are other differences. they call one a "tech prep" adn, has anyone ever heard of this before? the links to both programs are below. any ideas?

The transitional one sets you up to transfer to an associated college (Lamar and University of Texas) to get your BSN. Other than that (and the one credit hour difference that I just dont have the time to find) they are the same AKAIK.

The difference is one has pharm and the other has "transistion to nursing practice 2" and both are aimed at taking the Nclex. I agree with Texas, one is designed for students planning to bridge to BSN, the other for students wanting to go to work with the ADN.
Thank you both. I feel like kind of a dolt.. lol
No need to feel like a dolt, it is isn't obvious and it is unusual, I'd never heard of a tech degree that was an RN. In fact, I think you should ask the school to make sure. I'm not entirely sure that that is really all the difference. The tech in the degree is worrisome to me.... so often "tech" is instead of nursing.

Yes, I would watch out for that... Check with your board of nursing to make sure that this program is accepted for licensure and
NCLEX testing before you get involved in it...
