Hey Everyone,

I've scheduled to take NCLEX for the 2nd time on July 15th. For some reason I am having alot of anxiety (which is not like me). I'm so afraid I'm gonna fail it again. I need your help. I'm thinking of purchasing the Kaplan qbank, don't really want to because of the price, but if I knew that it was gonna help then I'll spend the money. Im also running out of time, so I'd like to get the most out of it. My request is, for those of you who have/or doing the qbank, could you please post of question or two so I could see the content of how the question/s are being asked. I'm doing several other books right now, and so far, I dont think either of them come near to what the questions were like the first time I took the NCLEX. In other words, if I thought after looking at one or two questions, the answer and rationale, I will know right off the bat if they were similar in style, then I will purchase it. Thank you everyone!!!

I will be taking NCLEX on July 15th also. To study I am using Drexel, NCLEX 3500 and Prentice Hall. At this late point in time I don't think it is beneficial to pay all $$ for Kaplan. However, at bookstores like Borders and Barnes & Noble you can find the Kaplan book that has a cd with questions. I believe the book also gives you access to some of the qbank questions.

I have studied hard since graduating in May and all I can do is just continue to have faith in God and trust that He will get me through this. I will be praying for you!

Let me tell you this info. The questions on the books are not even similar to the real NCLEX. Those in the books are just practice questions and not even near similar. You have studied enough and you think your ready then go for it. its not even wise to spend too much money since..its all in the book or whatever you have..Just a friendly advised. Its all depend on your test strategies on how you will pass this again. I myself think that is my first problem why i keep failing its not that i dont know the subject. They trick you on the exam so be wise on choosing the right answer. GOOD luck to you and all of us taking the MONSTER EXAM for nurses.

Thanks ElizabethC, I have the Kaplan book w/CD, those have helped some, but just didn't know if the "real qbank" was similar. I ordered Lacharity's delegation,prioritization book, and it came in the mail today. I'm gonna look that over for the next few days, but I think you're right, it's too late in the game to pay that kind of money. Good luck to you, thanks in advance for praying for me, as I will pray for you also.
