Need NCLEX Advice

I'm sorry that I don't know of a book with questions like that. I just wanted to say that I wish you the best for your next try & sorry to hear that you didn't quite make it the first time. You are right, however, that you must have come VERY close...which means you should do well the next time, with some additional studying. As for how to prioritize, I read something helpful in the Saunders book, in one of the beginning chapters, about Triage (which is determining who gets highest priority in an emergency situation). I'll paraphrase and if you get or borrow a Saunder's book , you can read it all for yourself: it said that basically you use ABC's again. Someone with an airway problem is a higher priority than someone bleeding, etc. And you also consider how much time you have (does the person HAVE to be seen within minutes, versus within 1-2 hours, etc.). This won't answer every scenario that they can come up with, but it helps to think this way, even for which patient you need to see first after you receive report, or which patient to assign to a lesser experienced RN, etc. If others know of some review book with actual more examples, I hope they suggest it here.

Hi. I too did not pass the first time. Have you ever heard of Kaplan? They lead the way in terms of review and test prep. I found them to be extremely valuable. I have yet to find out if I passed the second time here, as I took the test agian yesturday. I know where you are coming from and I have found that we are not alone. Good Luck!
