I failed the exam for the first time and all the nurses in the family passed it for the first time . I'm a big disappointment in my family, since we got the result everyone seems to be quiet. I think this is the only site that can understand the stress and true feelings of failing the NCLEX exam . I know I have to do it again but I don't know where to start , I can't even open my books again. I'm thinking to take CNA first before I take the exam again so I can find a job and support all the expenses in taking my exam again and let this experience pass for awhile ......

I'm sorry for what you're going through. Failing a test, especially one as important as the NCLEX, is very discouraging. I'm sure your family is just at a loss for what to say to make you feel better. While it may feel like you are a disappointment to your family, any parent will tell you that they love their children no matter what their accomplishments.
That being said, give yourself a few days to be sad. Eat ice cream and chocolate. Watch sappy movies. Have a good cry. Then, get back on the horse. DO NOT put this on hold. Studies have shown that the more time that passes after graduation, the lower your chances of passing the NCLEX. You want to pass this test while the information is still as fresh as possible.
I'd suggest starting by taking a Kaplan NCLEX review course. Force yourself to open your books. You can do it. The only one holding you back from starting to study again is you. You have to move past that, for the sake of the future. You'll get a print out of your NCLEX results which will show you which areas you need to focus on the most. Do lots of practice questions. Lots. The NCLEX may seem like a mountain, but it's very passable. You can do it. Don't let this one failure keep you away from reaching your goals. It's a setback- a delay. It's not the end.

As a man is so is his strength. we sure can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. our strength will not prevail, but when we depend on Christ, his strength at work in us causes us to prevail...........................Depend on Christ, you will come out successful. have the best.
Thank you so much for all the kind words, I really appreciate it . I felt that I'm not alone in this battle and makes me more positive as I take all of this one day at a time. May God bless us all in this journey.
