Need motivation

This has been a long week for me! I started my second week of classes for summer and I had to take 12 credit hours to receive my stipend for school. I also had to enroll my kids 7 of them in summer school. A friend of the family is stressed out because of her husbands illness and I have had to watch their 6 kids while they have been at appointments. I told them I needed a break but they continue to call. This is really stressing me out. I am usually such a good student but all I want to do is cover my head and go to bed. The only thing that has keep me on schedule is my planner so I am not behind yet, how do I tell them I cannot help any more. I can not handle watching their kids for days in a roll any more.

Don't answer the phone, don't return the calls from them! If they persist, text or email them saying your family comes first, sorry!

Yes this has been my course of action...

I truly hope they have other avenues of support besides you... Surely there is family nearby that will watch their kids. It sounds like you have enough on your plate. If nursing school is your path, being on the list of availability to help out others is not going to be a list you want to be on for 2-4 years!

You are right! I am spread to thin and I think they understand now:)

you have to prioritize constantly---family then school then others.

Honestly it doesn't matter if they understand or not. You can't always get everyone's approval. Your plate is full. Take care of your own, eat healthy, get sufficient rest and then if you have anything extra to give decide how you will spend that time. Take care of yourself.

Thank you all, I finally don't feel guilty. I think that was my problem. Thank you again
