Need a job...

I have about a year and half before I'm done school and have my BSN. I'll be starting my clinicals in Aug but would like to get a summer job that may turn part time once school starts. I want to get into CVICU, any ideas of where I should work to give me a little boost? I have Lab experience thats about it.

Thanks

Look into tech positions at local hospitals. Most hospitals seem to really like having nursing students as techs.

thats not a bad idea.. I didn't think I would be able to do something like that, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

One of our ER techs is finishing up an accelerated BSN program. He worked 1 weekend a month during school and whenever possible on breaks. Doesn't pay a lot but he will be joining us as an RN after he passes the boards. That tech job got him in the door.

When can you start working as a tech? After your first clinical rotation?

depends on the hospital...usually u can start working as a nurse tech after you have had all of your main med-surg clinical rotations.
