Need job advice

What will you choose between a job offer. 1. Home health LVN coordinator, which will be entirely office job, Monday to Friday 9-5pm, pay is $32, coordinating with doctor, nurse and everything your 45 patients needs. Or 2. LVN at  hospital sub acute unit. Night shift from 7pm to 7:30am. Pay is $29.25. There will be 2 weeks orientation and 12 weeks of training with the preceptor.

Also I am 48 years old who just graduated from LVN nursing program

It really depends on what you want. I am 43 right now...graduated at 41 and started my career on a medsurg floor. I managed to stay there for a little over a year. But I had to leave. It was a lot. 12 hour shifts are not that easy. So...knowing what I know now, I would go the office route. You're still a nurse and helping people. Monday to Friday is a dream. I'm guessing weekends and holidays off? Say no more. But this is just me!

Me? I'd take the 9-5 all day.long. No question whatsoever.

Hello it depends on what your career goals are. Some may say you need hospital experience but even if you were to do a year in the unit and leave they treat you as if you no longer can do the position because you haven't actively been on a unit. I am an RN I've been a floor nurse my whole career and am now looking to move from the bedside. I ask what does your heart say? You will be working with doctors and other nurses and it sounds like you'll be interacting with the patients. Floor nursing is very demanding with for me it's been nights holidays and weekends...it's draining trying to organize your personal life behind a job, It's not always about just the money (for me) consider your mental health and peace of mind. When you interviewed where did you honestly see yourself? I hope you come back and share your decision. All the best to you!

Congratulations on graduating—that's a huge accomplishment!

When you picture yourself 6–12 months from now, what matters more to you and what do you picture for yourself:
– predictable energy and routine
– or building bedside confidence and clinical exposure?

Neither choice is wrong—just different paths for different priorities. It comes down to what you really want for yourself and your life outside of work. Hope this helps!
