Need an Internship

Hi everyone,

can anyone please help me to find an internship in UK for "Home care nursing, Community Care / Community Nursing, or Outpatient Care"? It's basically any internship which involves home care activities, such as assisting the patient with their personal hygiene, clothing, injection, food intake and getting them in or out of the bed etc. Normally working in a team or supervised by a mentor nurse.

I'm a female, 3rd semester student (bachelor of Nursing) in Germany - the internship is part of my curriculum, and salary is not a concern at all.

Any useful information will be appreciated,for example: suggestion about places, typical institution, website links, other forums, or contact persons etc.

Hi and welcome to the site

A lot depends on where you actually want to gain this experience and for how long. You could try approaching some universities to see if they can help. Nursing homes I would think would be a bit harder as they don't usually have mentor nurses (hospitals are probably the best places) although I don't think you will gain this experience in outpatients. Does it have to be in the UK? Just thinking you may have problems.
