Need some inputs!

I'm graduating this november and taking my local board on december here in Philippines. I'm trying to obtain as much info as possible abt foreign exams I need to undergo. I'm planning to apply directly for a working visa in the US embassy. I need help If u have any advices, pointers or links in the web to share to me please let me know. I would really appreciate it. You will need to register with a Board of Nursing in the States. Whichever State you want to go to. Go to http://www.nclecx.com website for useful info. If you go to the Board you want to register with they should have forms you can down load.

Type

Boards of Nursing-United States of America

and search it should take you to a page with all the boards in the States and then chose the state you want and then click on its link it should have all the infor and links to get the forms you want to down load.

You cannot apply directly to the US Embassy for a work permit. A hopsital or agency must submit a petition on your behalf. I suggest that you read my sticky that is posted for working in the US at the top of the International section to get much infor that you need.

Be aware that none of the states in the US will process any of your documents towars getting licensed in the US until you have actually graduated from your program and have a completed transcript of all of your classes. Nursing students in the US are able to apply before graduation but graduates of foreign nursing school are required to submit a completed transcript. I would concentrate on getting your English exams completed while you are waiting.

well you have to undergo a battery of test to qualify...ww.ncbsn.org will be helpful to you

other than that you have to pass the some english test that INS requires of foreign students

on top of that there has been news that the quota for foreign nurses special from PHIL will be ceased temporarily (hopefully) by 2005
