Hi all, I am having an interview for a semi-rural district in a county I have lived in for 30 years. I am changing specialties (but I have a teaching degree), so I am not unfamiliar with the field. Any insights that this particular demographic would present with that I should be familiar with for the interview? I would surmise that drugs are a major problem, along with family upheavals, etc. Thanks for your insight in advance. I am burnt out on my present specialty and need a new focus. I usually root for the underdog and these kids need all the support they can get.

what age kids would the job cover?
I don't know, it is a small school district and could be multiple schools. They only have about 60-70 in each grade level. The job is through one of the hospital systems that are resource agencies for many school districts.
