Hello fine people of the healthcare world.
I need some help with an issue that is coming back to haunt me. back In 2015 when I was a fresh nurse right out of college, I got the opportunity to work in the ICU. Turns out I shouldn’t have been working there right out of school. I was tried by the vermont board of nursing for diversion, it’s a long story and it ultimately got dismissed because I didn’t divert at all I was just a new nurse who wasn’t the best at medications... I’ve since corrected my mistakes and ha e learned from it.
here’s my issue, I just applied for a new nursing job on the floor and I was asked about my case back in 2015. I told them everything that had happened and that it was dismissed. This was the first time after many new jobs I was asked about this because it showed on my record as being a dismissed case. I would of thought that it wouldn’t have stayed on my record because I didn’t actually divert and it had gotten dismissed. But now I feel like I got a target on my back because of it by just the words divert appearing next to my name even though I wasn’t charged of it... is there anyway I can have a lawyer or anything I can do to permanently take this off my record?
thank you!

Do you have any updates on how things are going for you? Sorry I don't have any advice. Currently going through the same thing, seems likely I might get probation. Even though I didn't divert. After reading all other posts I'm wondering how you got yours dismissed? I have a lawyer and even then it seems difficult.
