I need help from Florida Nurse's who have so called voluntarily placed their nursing licenses on "Voluntary Withdrawal" per IPN's voluntary request.

Here is the question.

After you placed your licenses on "Voluntary Withdrawal", where you able to renew your licenses when your licenses came up from renewal? If you were not able to renew it, why was that? Did you speak with someone at the Florida BON and did they tell you a reason for you not being able to renew your licenses?

Thanks

If the voluntary withdrawal is the same as what I have been told about, it is used while you are being investigated for something. For instance someone in our nurse support group missed a urine drop, had to see an addictionologist, etc and while that was going on, his license was placed on voluntary withdrawal. As soon as he complied with their requests, it was removed and he went back to work. Is that the same as you are talking about?

Honestly it doesn't matter what might have caused you to place your license on a "Voluntary Withdrawal".

It's just were you place your Florida Nursing License on a Voluntary Withdrawal and during the time of your Voluntary Withdrawal your license come up for renewal. Did you get your reminder postcard in the mail about renewing your licenses or when you called the Florida BON to inquire about what step's you needed take to renew your license. What information was given to you by the Florida BON.

I understand what you are asking. I would called the BON anonymously and ask what the procedure is for renewing while on voluntary withdrawal. They already know you are on voluntary withdrawal and are not at this point going to ask why. Even if they do, once it is clear it is an IPN issue and you are an IPN participant then that is the end of it. I suspect you simply remew like anyone else.

I understand what you are saying. But what I really need is Help and Information From Others who have had this same issue.

The Issue being.. Trying to Renew your Florida Nursing Licenses while the Licenses is in a "Voluntary Withdrawal" Status..

There may not be any other posters in your EXACT position. If you don't want to contact the Board of Nursing, I would contact an attorney who might know or who could contact the BON on your behalf w/o giving your name.
