bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchi. the inflammatory response in the body occurs whenever there is an invasion by a foreign microbe, trauma or the immune system is activated. part of developing your pathophysiology for this case study is to find out what set off the "inflammatory response" switch (smoking, a microbe, ???) and then describe the inflammatory response (https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/histamine-effect-244836.html). for future reference, all infections and allergies also begin with and run concurrent with the inflammatory response which includes these four cardinal signs in the following order of appearance: redness, heat, swelling and pain.
thanks...ill try to build my own framework...
:nuke:
do you know any websites that contains pathophysiology???
tnx
the merck manual, the articles on emedicine, and family practice notebook will list the basic pathophysiology. you can get the links to these websites here: https://allnurses.com/nursing-student-assistance/medical-disease-information-258109.html - medical disease information/treatment/procedures/test reference websites
