Well, I passed, but not with the scores that I wanted. I scored 91 in math but only a 55 in reading. The lady at the school said that I need my reading in at least the 60's or 70's so I'm retesting next Friday. I can at least begin the application process though since I passed. I'm really shocked that my reading was so low. I was worried about the math portion. Any suggestions on how to get those reading scores up?

Hi Shord, First of all congrats on passing. That in itself is a great accomplishment:yeah: I didn't take the NET, I took the TEAS, which is pretty similar I hear. My advice for you is to read the question before you read the paragraph, that way you know what to look for. Read very carefully and concentrate on what you're reading. Hopefully, your test isn't timed, but if it is just try not to feel stressed from the time. Take your time and follow the instructions carefully:rolleyes: Thats all I can think of, but I will definately say a prayer for you because I know how bad I want it and I can relate to you...:nurse: I hope this helps some. :heartbeat, Kristen

Good for you! I just started LPN school Sept 3...I am so happy that you may be starting! that's great! Good luck to you, and good luck on the re-take!!!

CONGRATS!!!

i was so nervous to take my net tests. i took mine in the spring and i hadn't been in school for over 9 years when i did it. i was so nervous for the math section. i sucked at math in high school. come to find out i did better on it than i did the reading :banghead:

just take your time and read everything it asks. sometimes the questions can be a little tricky. try to look at the questions from all angles.

good luck. keep us posted :)
