Wow you're a long way off! A CNA is a certification to assist a nurse which will take you 4-6 weeks to complete. A CRNA is a graduate school specialty that will take you 8+ years to achieve. No they are NOTHING alike.

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

A CRNA is an advanced practice nurse (8+ years: 4 years for your BSN, approx. 2 years critical care (maybe more), 2-3 years in CRNA program)

An anesthesiologist is a doctor (12 years: 4 years bachelors degree, 4 years med school, 1 year intern, 3 years residency)

These are VERY advanced specialties and have nothing to do with CNA duties.

Specializes in Cardiac & Medical ICU.

If you don't know the difference between a CRNA and a CNA, I think you really need to research and read about the scope and practice of a CRNA. Plenty of stickies here for you plus the ever so great resource of the AANA... www.aana.com

Best of luck~
