Need Help

SOS please,

I have been a nurse for atleast 10 years outside USA and the last time I've worked was nov.2003.I migrated here in USA on feb.2004 and worked as an assistant nurse for three years since I don't have NCLEX yet.Now that I have passed the NCLEX and got a massachussett license, do you think the hospital that will hire me consider myself a re-entry or will they consider my previous work experience even if I didn't work as a nurse for almost four years.Somebody please give me insights with regards to my case.TY

It may be something you negotiate with employer but if not nursed RN for 3-4 years then may be worth gaining experience first

You will be hired as a new grad if your experience was only in your country before you came to the US. Things are done very differently in your country and the medications are also quite different.

Suggest that you look into the new grad programs first, that will be the best for you. The roles of the CNA and the RN are quite different.

Best of luck to you.
