is anyone living in NJ going to nursing school in PA. where can i find funds from the state that help students going out of state??

I live in NJ and went to school in PA. I think you have to go to school in state to get help from NJ. My financial aid lady at school helped me get a living expenses loan. My school offered great scholarships and everyone who attended got some sort of scholarship and the rest you could pay back in time to the hospital when u graduated. I went to Abington Memorial Hospitals Dixon School of Nursing,

Thee-Thee,

When did you graduate from Abington? I currently attend their school and will be graduating next year.

thanks for the info. going to school out state is pretty hard financially. u cant get state help from either side. one cuz the school is out of stat, two, your not a state resident. pretty tuff. but it looks like i will take out loans. i am going to ask when i go to orientation as to which loans i should take out.

If you can, try to become a resident of PA. I know PA offers a loan forgiveness program for nursing graduates who agree to work at a PA hospital. You need to be a PA resident to take advantage of the loan forgiveness.
