I am a nurse tech currently and start lpn school at Erwin Tech in Fl this Aug. When I graduate, my fiance and I want to move to Virginia. My only concern is with just graduating, will I have a problem with hospitals hiring me? And do I have to retake the nclex because my license will be for FL, not Virginia? I wanted to try to get some help with this so that my fiance and I know what to plan on next year. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanx,

Check the state website for the Va board of nursing and see if Florida is a compact state. If it is, my understanding is that moving and transferring/getting a license reissued is much easier.
Where's Siri when you need her?
Thanks sweetie:>)

I don't think you have to retake the NCLEX once you pass it.
Depending on that certain state's rules & regs, I believe you just have to pay a fee to get your license for that state.
Good luck to you! :)
Thank you:>)
