Think in terms of clean --> dirty. You always want to start with the cleanest things first and work your way down to the dirtiest/most contaminated. With that in mind, what do you think is a logical order to those tasks?

We are happy to help....but we need more information. What semester are you? What do you think?
You tell us what you think and we will jump right in and help you develop your answer and help you critically think the right answer.

Your lab textbook or procedures book (Potter and Perry, or the very excellent Lippincott Manual of Nursing Practice, for example) will be invaluable to help you learn and study these. Amazon is your friend.
I agree with Esme: what do you think? What have you learned already, and how does it make/not make sense to you?
I need it for the nclex im international graduate nurse and I only review saunders books and the info is not in the books . So thats why I was asking if any one can help me.
Sterile technique, IV placement, NG tube placement, and urine culture are the same in any language or culture and basic to nursing education. Can you tell us what steps you learned in your school to do each of them?
Do you have any of your references from school that taught you how to do these? It's the same thing.
If you don't have your own old school books, get the ones I mentioned.
@green tea. Iv procedure first chk the dr order and dertmine type and size of the infusion devise then prepare iv tubing and solution. Then explain the procedure to pt. Then select the vein, then apply tourniquet and palpate the vein for resilience. Then clean the skin with antimicrobial solution using the inner outer cirulr motion . Then stabalize the vein then observe blood retun. Then cinnect iv tubing then sequre it. Begin iv then tape and document the procedure. I dont kno if thats rite but plz let me know.
See, you already know that. If those steps were presented as part of the question, you could put them in proper order, right? That's all they want to know. Don't overthink this.
Thank you :)
